2.5 years old

At 2.5 years old or 31 months to be exact, she may be the less active toddler you see around, she doesn’t run around or enjoy playground facilities. She may look like 18 months instead of 2 years old physically, she’s belong to the smallest group among her classmate. Sometimes i wonder why and got worried why is she different from her peers, not so much of her activeness but her growth. I even bring her PD for this issue, but doctor assured me she is growing well just slowly maybe she’s a late bloomers or genetically inherit my petite figure. Still i am worried to be honest, i add in cheese and egg in daily meal make sure she finish her food and sleep well.

Chloe is an introvert girl, she prefer interacting with family or close friends. She often feel overwhelmed or anxious in new environments and around new people and take forever/never to warm up. She may look happy and cheery in the photos that’s because it was us who taking the photos, but if you happen to meet her in person, she will greet you with a expressionless face. She might be the most unfriendly kid you ever meet! However we try not to force her because there’s nothing to be shameful to be an introvert because mummy and daddy are one too. However she do get better when she goes to school, from overly protect her belonging to learning how to share with friends and open up to teachers. It just take time for her to get familiar with new people and environment.

They are at the age of absorbing things/knowledge very fast and i kinda like the idea of slow parenting which allowed kids to explore the world/skills/knowledge at their own pace, i know it’s impossible to apply that in Asian education but we see how it goes. When time arrived they just know it how for example phonics, potty train, shapes or colors. After introducing things like phonics, songs and flashcard for sometimes thru play and coloring, one day she just showed me that she recognized A-Z, shapes and colors. So patience is the key…

Her fine motor skill is good but gross motor skill is so bad, she still needing to hold on something go up or down the stairs, the chances of her taking risk very low or never. My mum say maybe because we seldom bring her outdoor to play or exercise i must admit that’s my fault because i prefer to stay indoor or in my tiny shelter, but when i bring her to the playground she always enjoy people watching, observe how others play rather than her playing, i really don’t know how?

Let them be little because they’re only that way for a while

Chloe first movie in the cinema

We’ve been planing to bring Chloe to the cinema for a long time but couldn’t find a proper or interesting movie for her. Until last month Ming asked whether we want to bring her to his company movie screening on the show he involved (in post production), the last screening was Star Wars and other not-so-kids- friendly movies so we never thought of bring her along. This time is more like a cartoon (or not) haha but more appropriate for her so we decided to bring her along, see if she can sit throughout the movie.

I used to go with Ming to the movie screening especially those movies that he involved in, you know give some support because that’s is like their harvest after all the hard works bu ever since Chloe was born I’ve missed so many shows.

Stuff I used to paint my face…Dior Concealer // Heavy Rotation eyebrow powder // Majolica Mascara // Tarte Liquid matte foundation // Pony Effect cheek tint // Mamonde Matt lipstick

I’ll never missed a chance to dress up haha even we are going to be in the cinema

Hair straighteners that do the curling..I think it works better then curling tong (for shorter hair)

All done quick and simple one! I’m running late, I’ve to wait our part time cleaning Aunty to get her job done before I could start getting ready, today she’s kinda extra hardworking #notcomplaning and now it’s raining heavily out there

Then wake this girl up from nap get her dress up, I give her 2 option one pink dress and this yellow dress, she picked this. I like the back detailed of this dress, obviously I brought it for that reason.

erm..i don’t think i teach her that pose

bershka sweater // and TEM trouser

Here we are at the theater as usual the company booked 2 theater to catered the crew , before the show start the heads gave a short speech. Chloe sit through the movie from the start, she got scared when there’s chasing and fighting scene (that’s the moment i regret bringing her) overall she seems to enjoy the movie maybe because i’ve banning screen time since we’re back from cny break she missed watching tv.. haha okie more movie in the cinema for you from now on!

i think i faced another set of problem after potty trained, she just doesn’t pee in the diaper when we’re out so she keep holding her pee without telling us she need to go to the washroom. By the time i realize her diaper was actually empty i rushed her out to toilet and she let out a whole lot of pee that she holded, so poor thing i hope she don’t get UTI. Also found that i’m quite skeptical to put her on public toilet i’ll wipe, wipe and wipe the toilet bowl before putting her there, and she’s too tiny for the adult toilet bowl i’ll have to hold her on that Ming asked me whether we need to bring her potty out..haha..any mummy experience this?

i guess we need to have more toilet run whenever we’re out

A year older

a nice bouquet delivered on my door step no prize guessing it’s from Ming
i usually don’t get such a nice bunch so i must take more photos of it before it dry up.
for passed years Ming will always buy from his trusted florist below his office building reason being convenient and no delivery fees required
Or if he had a choice he will never buy me a flower because he is practical like that but he did after we had Chloe
i think that’s his way of appreciation for me as a wife and a mom
he also brought something from my-never-up-to-dated wishlist i created last year
but luckily still something i want till now..Fresh face cream
too expensive to buy myself
thanks dear you’re sweetest. always caring. always there for us
As a mother

Motherhood isn’t all about shaping her characters but shaping mine too along the way –source

i’m totally agree with that there’s so much to learn being a mother it’s a life time work. So far I never regretted being stay home mum because very minutes spend with Chloe is worthy! I’m thankful to be part of her early childhood so I can help a little on shaping her personality and guide her with God’s word. Maybe I’m always there and only me she a little too shy or maybe me and daddy are introvert that’s why she is totally an introvert girl. She’s very shy, take time to warm up to stranger but I think that’s okie as she’s a girl and the bright side of an introvert she is very sensitive over people and environment also an observant. I’m would say I know her best and understand all her baby language at this stage.. and I want to continue watch her grow!

For me myself
i decided to let go #dayre completely because i feel it taken up too much time
Curating a post, reply comments, reading others, it take a lot of time which i should really spend that time with Chloe or do my job then looking or checking the phone so often. i remember a friend asked me that i’m slowly gaining readers there in dayre and sponsorship don’t i feel wasted? i never want to be influencer or blogger just simply sharing my life and i feel stressful with so many people reading my life or dealing with business for sponsorship worrying the traffic and all.. This happen often i started with kiminpink.com (blogspot) then instagram then dayre.. i’m simply do not enjoy life being someone known..
While ig stories are faster way to record moments and share it with my family and friends. Yesterday I finally took some time to filter my follower and removed 100+ unknown accounts soon I will just limit to my friends and family so i feel safer to that platform

i may be going back to dayre in future maybe after Chloe go to school or if i’m pregnant again to record my pregnancy journey who knows maybe i will never return… another things that turn me off from sharing is that people tend to copy ideas, content and photos without crediting, they got influenced or inspired then copy and paste it like their own without credit, taking things for granted.

As a designer I really can’t stand this sorry to say ..but Ming always remind me once I want to share it in public be prepare for this..

Okie gone too far off the topic by the way I don’t share great stuff or thoughts I’m not even a good person too..but I can’t control what people think only thing I should do is be true to myself and always remind myself that:
It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 13:4
Don’t follow the world but Jesus and He should be the center of my life and always glorify Him in anything i do..
